Dirty Water Wars

The Governors of Georgia, Alabama and Florida will sit down face-to-face on December 15 in an to resolve the 19-year water wars over Lake Lanier.  A U.S. District Court recently ruled that Lake Lanier could not be used for water supply.  The Court gave the three states until 2012 to reach a resolution.  If no resolution, then Congress will step in to decide.

And now news that more than 20% of the nation’s water treatment systems have violated key provisions of the Safe Drinking Water Act over the last five years.  Run your own Safe Drinking Water Query for your water system here.
